Welcome

KSC Province 10 – East Anglia and Brentwood

Welcome to the Knights of Saint Columba website for Province 10 East Anglia and Brentwood. We cover the East End of London, and the counties of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
A message from our Provincial Grand Knight

As Knights of St Columba our primary role is to support the clergy and hierarchy of the Catholic Church. We also do many charitable works within our parishes, our provinces and nationally. But maybe our most essential task is the spiritual care of our brothers and their families through the understanding of the Gospels and prayer. We have carried out these duties in the Province of Brentwood and East Anglia for close to one hundred years and we are very proud of our heritage.

St Columba was a migrant, missionary, and spiritual warrior, who brought Christianity to Scotland, in particular to the Northern Pictish Kingdoms. He founded and built a monastery on the Island of Iona which remained the centre of political and religious life for centuries after his death. He wrote several poems and hymns, in particular “Adiutor Laborantium” where he addresses God as a helper, ruler, guard, defender and lifter for those who are good and an enemy of sinners.

As Knights of St Columba we look to those values that were so important to St Columba, our patron and intercessor, and try to emulate them by bringing the values of the Gospel to life and spreading the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Bringing men to faith and capturing their hearts with charity, unity and fraternity. We have supported our brothers and their families both spiritually and through our benevolent fund since our inception and aim to continue this good work for centuries to come.

There are 22 Councils within Province 10, supported by 320 brothers. Represented by brothers from all walks of life, nationality and cultural background. We are always looking for new labourers for the vineyard, so please consider joining us, if you are 16 years of age or older, and a practicing Catholic. Please use the website to assist you in finding your nearest Council and their contact details to introduce yourself and receive an invitation to their next meeting.

I hope and pray we will meet in the future.

With fraternal blessings,

Brother Liam Rand
